Championing creativity.

Believing in the power of creativity and the creative industries to change lives, placing creativity at the heart of the UK’s culture, economy and education system, the goal of Creative UK is simple - ‘to cultivate a world where creativity is championed, valued, and fundamentally nurtured’.
As a member of the creative industry myself, I’m fully supportive of this goal and it was a real pleasure to work with the organisation on a project focussed on supporting female founders in the industry.

Current and relevant.

Commissioned to refresh the styling of the ‘Female Founders’ digital magazine, my challenge was to create an editorial design style and typography that felt current, relevant and suitable for digital consumption. The styling was then to be provided in the form of a set of design templates that could be populated by the Creative Enterprise team at Creative UK.

Designed for screens.

Shining a light on the challenges and opportunities in funding for women-led businesses, the design guidelines needed to feature insights, interviews, Q&As, editorials and deep-dive conversations, as well as a new title mast head and front cover layout.

This was a project where traditional editorial design disciplines were merged with on screen user-experience.
